The 2023 edition of Jamming Space returns with SCREEN SAVIOUR, a triptych of sensory revelations and states, each element configuring an expression of technology and the human psyche.

i n t e r f a c e, curated by Chok Si Xuan, explores the common boundaries of two bodies, spaces, or phases, encompassing haptic, sonic, olfactory, and visual dimensions. Chok Si Xuan, together with Suhui Hee, Ashley Hi, Sonia Kwek, and Lynette Quek in a 36-hour collaborative session, delves into sensorial and lesser-conscious embodied states with technology interfaces, aiming to comprehend their role in visual cultures. This results in a hybrid installation where kinetic activations and digital systems combine with electrically activated materials.

In MAKING SENTINEL, A CONVERSATION, Cherry Chan collaborates with performer Rizman Putra in a site-specific exploration. Set in a corporate pantry, their interaction unfolds through gestures, movements, and music, offering a reflective meditation on contemporary creation, inviting audiences to contemplate the perception and evolution of ‘making’ in today’s context.

NOVEMBER REMEMBER is about partying. Serial partying. Oliphea loiters within the labyrinth of i n t e r f a c e as they vibe and crash and crash and vibe, washing away the detritus of last November. Oliphea must follow their own set of mental commands in order to transcend the psychological matrix of their trapped reality. With this, their version of church.
